Graduate Thesis

My Master of Architecture terminal project explored how architecture and interior design can work together to create stronger, more connected communities. Rather than treating interiors as a finishing layer, the project began with the people who would inhabit the building, allowing their daily experiences, needs, and relationships to shape the architecture from the inside out.

The proposal combines affordable senior housing, family support services, and community gathering spaces within a mixed-use development, encouraging interaction across generations while fostering a sense of belonging. The design was informed by extensive research into Trauma-Informed Design and DeafSpace principles, demonstrating how architecture can support health, dignity, accessibility, and social connection.

This project represents the culmination of my graduate studies and reflects my belief that successful multifamily communities are created by thoughtfully integrating architecture, interiors, landscape, and the human experience into a unified design vision.
